NAMA is celebrating 15 years this year. What does this mean? It means that NWA is rockin’. Every year the Northwest Arkansas Music Awards honors musicians in a variety of categories. NAMA nominees are selected based on talent, the number of performances and popularity. The winners are chosen by music fans who vote through this Web site. Voting will begin soon, so keep checking back.

The 2010 NAMAs will be hosted by Arkansas music historian Robert Cochran of the Center of Arkansas and Regional Studies and Kyle Kellams, news director of KUAF, NWA’s NPR affiliate.

This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients will be vocalist and blues enthusiast Liz Lottmann and music promoters Lois and the late Dayton Stratton.

NAMA is honored to showcase the following performers at this year’s event:

Wade Ogle and the Sea Shall Free Them, Randall Shreve, Nate Hancock and The Declaration and LaFuSo.
